Persephone

The film follows a story of a young girl experiencing her first menstruation, while at the same time preparing for taking the sacrament of Holy Communion. Her vivid mischievous imagination takes her into a new, wild world of femininity and freedom. Shot in 35 mm, the film is a unique blend of fiction, experimentalist narrative and magic realism.
